What does a Toastmaster do?

Think of it as having a ‘Personal Event Manager’.

I am there to be highly visible – the red jacket drawing attention to their fundamental ‘Master of Ceremonies’, public-facing role. However, my skills really lie in being ‘behind the scenes’ – ensuring that everything works like clockwork on the day. Allowing you to enjoy the occasion with your family and friends.

My venue says they will manage my event

Some venues may say that they will offer a hotel manager to fulfil the role of ‘MC’ – announce the entrance of the happy couple at a wedding, introduce the speakers and speeches, say ‘grace’ etc. In reality, as hotel managers they may have other issues to deal with that are not going to allow them to focus completely on the running of the function. To focus on you.

It’s not their intention, but they may be called away to deal with a hospitality issue elsewhere. However, having a trained professional toastmaster solely focused on delivering the little (and large) details of the carefully planned event takes away all of that concern and worry. I am totally dedicated to you.

If you’re considering a Toastmaster to help host your event, simply get in touch, with no obligation or pressure. I’m very happy to just have a friendly chat. I’d recommend booking a FREE Discovery Meeting which is held online. During that meeting you will have 30 minutes to chat through your ideas and see if we’re a good fit.

How much can I expect to pay?

You’ve spent a great deal of money time and effort making sure your wedding or Gala Dinner will be fabulous. For a small percentage of that you can ensure it goes according to plan.

For events in Kent, my fee is £650.

What type of events need a Toastmaster?

Any gathering of guests will benefit from having a Master of Ceremonies in a professionaly trained Toastmaster. I am on hand to deliver quality and excellence at weddings, gala dinners, charity auctions, masonic ladies festivals, official openings or product launches to name but a few

Securing the date

Your event is likely to be some way in advance. I will help guide you with timings in the run up, with a handy planning guide. A non-refundable deposit  of £100 is required to secure the date with full payment being made 6 weeks prior to your event.

Hosting a gathering with any number of guests can be stressful, I can make sure your wedding, gala dinner or charity event runs smoothly and efficiently.


At a wedding, in addition to the master of ceremonies function, ‘meet & greet’, receiving of gifts and cards from arriving guests, assistance with wedding party buttonholes and flowers, smartening of ties and pocket squares, guest book completion, advice and guidance on speeches and protocols, efficient marshalling of guests for those all-important photos, checking the knife is actually there for the cutting of the cake, and supplier of safety pins and shoelaces for those last-minute mishaps are just some of the typical tasks that a professional toastmaster may undertake.

At an awards ceremony or formal dinner, the role of the Trained Professional Toastmaster is to show that same dedication and commitment to detail and delivery, leaving you, as the organiser, as ‘worry-free’ as possible and able to enjoy the event which you have striven so hard to organise.
